Holiday Picture Fun. December in NYC!

Santacon Saturday. Lookout! A bunch of drunken Santas
are wandering around Gramercy.

Mr. Bulldog says No Smoking, yo!

December is always a magical time in New York City! Check out some of the holiday flavors in this all-pix post.

Okay, this isn't Manhattan, but I had to sneak in my snowman family.

What's your favorite wintery scene in your hometown?

  3. Kelly, that's my son's puppy. And yes, he's totally cute! Alex, you're not kidding. I laughed my butt off on SAT as I watched them all careen around in the slippery snow.

  4. I like the snowman family. Creative snow sculpture is fun. I love walking or driving around the neighborhood and other areas to see how people decorate. Some are OTT (but kids love that) and some are elegant. All are fun to see.

  6. Fun pics! I live in Alaska, so lots of snow is typical for us. Nothing prettier than snow draped on the trees….

  7. The city has so much personality. Too much personality if you ask me--all crammed into the tiniest space. It's such a rush.

I love the "snow" (bubbles) in Celebration, FL this time of year. They feel magical, even if they're just a ruse around the 60 to 80 degree weather.

  8. Love the snowman family! There's something about NYC that just screams "drunk Santas" to me, too. It's that off-kilter vibe. :)

  10. All your pics brought back fond memories. I love NYC in winter, especially the window displays in places like Macy's, Bonwit, and Bloomy's. And let's not forget Rockefeller Plaza. I miss it...

  12. This year, my favorite wintery scene is seeing a red fox scamper across the frosty lawn in the moonlight.

  13. Love your pics! We don't get good wintery pics down here in Florida, but I love my pictures from our trip to Mont Tremblant, Canada last year. It was so beautiful.

  16. That does look magical!

Where I live, there's no hope of ever snowing, since it's summer here. :-)

    Happy New Year!

  17. Beautiful pictures! NYC is so magical during the holidays. :) I love to see all of the lights in my town. Each lamppost is decorated with white lights that look like snowflakes.

    Happy Holiday and Happy 2014!
