Okay, this isn't Manhattan, but I had to sneak in my snowman family. |
What's your favorite wintery scene in your hometown?
Very festive! Nothing funnier than a bunch of drunk Santas.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! That dog is adorable!
ReplyDeleteKelly, that's my son's puppy. And yes, he's totally cute! Alex, you're not kidding. I laughed my butt off on SAT as I watched them all careen around in the slippery snow.
ReplyDeleteI like the snowman family. Creative snow sculpture is fun. I love walking or driving around the neighborhood and other areas to see how people decorate. Some are OTT (but kids love that) and some are elegant. All are fun to see.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! The snowman family is adorable :) I love Christmas in San Francisco, but someday I'd love to check it out in NYC!
ReplyDeleteFun pics! I live in Alaska, so lots of snow is typical for us. Nothing prettier than snow draped on the trees….
ReplyDeleteThe city has so much personality. Too much personality if you ask me--all crammed into the tiniest space. It's such a rush.
ReplyDeleteI love the "snow" (bubbles) in Celebration, FL this time of year. They feel magical, even if they're just a ruse around the 60 to 80 degree weather.
Love the snowman family! There's something about NYC that just screams "drunk Santas" to me, too. It's that off-kilter vibe. :)
ReplyDeleteCrystal, how cool--snow bubbles?!
ReplyDeleteRiver, yes, it does scream drunken Santas.
DG, I love to drive around upstate and see all of the outrageous decs too.
All your pics brought back fond memories. I love NYC in winter, especially the window displays in places like Macy's, Bonwit, and Bloomy's. And let's not forget Rockefeller Plaza. I miss it...
ReplyDeleteI love the name Hieronymus! And I love your family of snowmen. Happy Christmas, Cat! Thank you for sharing these photographs. :)
ReplyDeleteThis year, my favorite wintery scene is seeing a red fox scamper across the frosty lawn in the moonlight.
ReplyDeleteLove your pics! We don't get good wintery pics down here in Florida, but I love my pictures from our trip to Mont Tremblant, Canada last year. It was so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Christmas to me! Great pictures. Have a wonderful holiday season. See you in 2014.
ReplyDeleteJessie, wow, yeah, holiday time in Canada was surely spectacular. Lee, have a fun Christmas too!
ReplyDeleteThat does look magical!
ReplyDeleteWhere I live, there's no hope of ever snowing, since it's summer here. :-)
Happy New Year!
Beautiful pictures! NYC is so magical during the holidays. :) I love to see all of the lights in my town. Each lamppost is decorated with white lights that look like snowflakes.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holiday and Happy 2014!
