Now, to the subject at hand... Why do I like this place so much? I'm vacationing, yet mingling with friends; I'm getting LOTS of writing done and talking about writing. Most of my novels were started here. I get to swim in the ocean, be surrounded by pines and waterways, lounge on a rose-covered porch in my PJs, and every night someone cooks a great dinner, followed by fun writers' games. Here are some pictures that tell the story over the years.

Tell us all, what's one of your fave vacation spots? |
Looks very nice and tranquil, Catherine. And more importantly, dry!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's tranquil, though sometimes there are some mosquitoes.
DeleteThat looks like such a relaxing place. Perfect for getting writing done. My favorite place is Cozumel, Mexico.
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Mexico, or South America for that matter. One day... but I have been mostly everywhere else, including China, India, Russia, Turkey and Europe.
DeleteThis looks like a fabulous spot and retreat! So fun! My favorite summer vacation is just to go home and see my family in Cali (and do some shopping and see SF and Carmel with them). Though I'd take anywhere warm with a beach, too!
ReplyDeleteMeradeth, I love Cali too, though I'm not from the west coast. I have many friends out there. Northern Cali is my fave part.
DeleteLook like an absolutely divine place, and filled with friends to boot.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn, yes, it would not be the same without my great writing buddies.
DeleteCape Cod is wonderful, and your writing retreat looks incredible peaceful and beautiful. The perfect place to clear your mind of city stress and get some major writing done. I'm not surprised all your books were started here. The place looks magical! Thanks for joining the hop!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lexa, this is fun, and I'm getting more travel ideas.
DeleteCape Cod does sound delightful, and since you were surrounded by writers and inspiration, I can see why you chose this to post about.
ReplyDeleteI can easily see why you like that Cape Cod so much from your photos, plus it's that rare combination of relaxation and productive time.
ReplyDeleteMine is Aruba. I haven't been there in a long time though.
ReplyDeleteOoh, another good idea. I've never been to Aruba.
DeleteSounds like a writer's heaven.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed... yep, could spend my time there writing too. Loved your photos.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like the perfect writing haven. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket...now you've tweaked my interest again! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLooks very pretty! I'm thinking of doing an east coast road trip next year.
ReplyDeleteIt's been like forever since I've been to Cape Cod. Yes, a lovely place!
ReplyDeleteJolie is stopping by from the Post A-to-Z Road Trip!!
